TERM 2- PERFORMANCE TASK

The performance tasks for this second term serve as the accumulated learning of the students. It helps them to become active, creative, and critical thinkers.

These projects strengthen the acquired skills and knowledge of the students. These allow the students to demonstrate their personal abilities, capabilities, and skills required to produce and present an extended output or outcome of their learning.

Below are the listed projects:

GRADE 1

Making a video presentation of their chosen day. This requires students to show their skills in reading and telling time correctly and to make their own schedule of activities in a precise manner.

GRADE 2

Creating Math story problem or puzzle of any topics about Subtraction, Money, and Time. Developing critical thinking as they come up with their own problem or puzzle.

GRADE 3

Constructing their own Math flashcards which promotes oneself to practice recalling past lessons. A fun activity that can be shared with the members of the family, friends and as a form of independent practice.

GRADE 4

Creating a card game. It requires students to follow specific criteria and to record a video where they have to explain and test the game created by them. This is to reinforce the concept of fractions and decimals to the hundredths.

GRADE 5

Creating a mosaic with sticky notes. The students need to discuss in the video how they apply Maths in their output. They have to use related terms in Maths like measurements, fractions, and whole numbers.

GRADE 6

Percent art project. The students should get creative with maths and create a work of art. This helps them to build understanding of the relationships among rational numbers by seeing how fractions, decimals, and percent are related.

GRADE 7

Number Puzzle Search. This requires them to construct questions applying the lessons in Maths and they have to create a manipulative project through number search puzzle.

GRADE 8

Design using Transformations (Reflection, Rotation, and Translation) and Isometric drawing. Students need to construct a design by transforming shape by reflection, rotation, and translation and draw figures using isometric.
