Oooops…. Oooh…Yesss…Yahoooo, I am the first!!! These are the cries of those who enjoyed playing in an online Maths competition known as the World Maths Day 2010 which commenced on the 2nd and ended on the 4th. For once, even just for three (3) consecutive days, the world is united as one. There were 235 countries represented, with 11,456 cities and towns participated, 1,133,246 students have taken part representing 56,082 schools all over the world! The figures have spoken how successful and overwhelming the response was for the said worldwide event. The competition challenged the mathematics skills of the participants where the sharp-minds and the fast-thinkers ruled.
Arabian Pearl Gulf International School is a proud participant of the said competition. For two successive years, our students actively played and reaped honors not only for the school but also for the country, as well. Students from different grade levels registered and competed against students all over the world.

The parents are recognized for being very supportive in this endeavor of the Mathematics Department. Everybody looks forward to the next World Maths Day which will become the World Education Games in March 2011.
